I graduated, what now?
Hello Friends and Family. What a journey its been. I have never been quite good at writing but I have always loved expressing myself with words on a page or in this case words on a screen. lol I graduated Pastry School in May of 2021. Wow almost 4 years ago. I remember knowing I didn’t want to go back to Florida but I just didn’t really know what the next steps were going to be. A few weeks away from graduating my sister told me about this mountain town that had a French inspired bakery and she felt like I would love it. So I reached out to them and after a few interviews I got the job. I was really excited. I have always wanted to live in a mountain town. I was also really scared. I didn’t know if or when I’ll be back to Florida. This was an actual goodbye to my family and I was moving on the other side of the United States. Rewind to my graduation. It was wonderful and so sad. My season in Paris was done. I had to say hard “see you later” to friends. It was hard truly. My friends got together at a park and we had a picnic. It was so sweet. I then ventured off back to Florida. And in 3 weeks I was all packed and then headed to Wyoming. Wyoming. I think Wyoming deserves its very own Blog. Wyoming was so special.
Rewind again. Why is my brain like this?!? lol Lets talk Paris in more detail since Wyoming is getting its own blog.
Paris taught me my dreams were possible. I moved to PARIS afraid. It taught me I can do hard things. I also learned to love other cultures. I opened my heart up to meet new people. I now have friends from all over the world (Indonesia, India, Italy, Portugal, Israel, Japan, and etc.). I went to Le Cordon Bleu for Culinary School. I took 3 semesters and it was broken up like this. 3 months of beginners, 3 months of intermediate, and 3 months of superior. I actually have a vlog of my time in Paris if you want to watch those videos. During this time I made quite a few friends and when we weren’t in school we were having picnics, eating, running, or dancing in my studio or by the seine. I can close my eyes and I am right back by the seine. My studio was perfect. I had the view of the Eiffel Tower, and it was just me. It was such a sweet time. This was my first time living on my own. I am so very thankful for this time. I am so very thankful for the support from my friends and family. Big thank you to my mom. I wouldn’t have been able to walk this dream out without her support. Also last but not least. God helped me big time during this time. I never really felt fear living solo in Paris. I truly felt protected. I am so thankful.
I think that’s it. 4 years ago I graduated wow how time flies.
